SELECTING THE RIGHT CONTRACTOR

Most people when they think about doing a project they talk to friends and family and ask if they know of anybody to provide a service to them. Referrals are great if you get good ones. Then the homeowner should set up an appointment to tell the contractor what they're planning on doing. Feel the contractor out, get to know the person, see if there's trust, dependability, honesty and is qualified to do the job. Look them in the eyes (eye contact is very important). The contractor must have years of experience in building or remodeling; this brings knowledge to the project. The contractor must address options, upgrades, new products and personal needs.
